About us

Unique in France when it was created in 2015 by Dominic Moreau (UdL-HALMA), Lille Master's students in historical and artistic sciences colloquium is now led by Caroline Husquin (UdL-HALMA), Claire Soussen (ULCO-CRHAEL) Bertrand Cosnet (UdL-IRHiS), Sylvain Lesage (UdL-IRHiS), Sébastien Martin (ULCO-CRHAEL) and Mathieu Vivas (UdL-IRHiS). Its purpose is to provide students with an annual communication and publication experience in a formal scientific setting.
Composed of "internal" and "external" teacher-researchers from the Universities of Lille and Littoral Côte d'Opale, an annual scientific committee evaluates the proposals made by the students (in response to a call for papers), with the support of their research director, and selects those who will present their research. At the end of the conference, participants have the opportunity to publish their paper in the form of an article, submitted to an editorial committee, in proceedings that are now published in hard copy thanks to the support of Les Presses Universitaires du Septentrion.
Organised in collaboration with the HALMA (UMR 8164), HLLI-CRHAEL (UMR 4030) and IRHiS (UMR 8529) laboratories, this colloquium was initially aimed at Master's students from the history, history of art and archaeology departments of the Universities of Lille and the Côte d'Opale Littoral, but today it is also open to other universities in the region, notably those of Amiens, Artois and Valenciennes. Each year, a few places are also reserved for third year Bachelor students (Licence 3) from the same institutions, who have produced an exceptional Work of Study and Research (TER).
